About this Unit

In this unit, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of global technology trends and the role of technology in driving responsible and innovative business solutions. Through a hands-on learning approach, students will have the opportunity to evaluate and recommend cutting-edge hardware, software, operating systems, and network devices that align with ethical and sustainable business practices. The OSI and TCP/IP models will serve as the foundation for understanding network protocols and data transmission in a global context. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to develop practical scripting skills to manipulate data files, further enabling them to make data-driven recommendations. Finally, students will implement a Server Operating System, network services and security roles, gaining valuable hands-on experience in responsible technology implementation and management.
