About this Unit

This unit builds on Leadership principles and practices which will enable students to develop skills and knowledge of management policy and governance. The unit includes cultural capacity building, and develops skills in cultural mentoring within multidisciplinary health team settings. Students will also develop knowledge and skills in relation to crisis response including protocols that inform culturally secure responses to a mental health crisis. Students will have the opportunity to identify a personal leadership style in relation to change management and will focus on the importance of self-care in relation to effective leadership.
