About this Unit

Students will need to be able to differentiate between Westminster Law and the Mental Health Law from a mental health context, and identify consumer's key rights and responsibilities, examine ethical practice and apply professional ways of working, and identify the importance of diversity within an Aboriginal context and when working with multidisciplinary teams. The unit also examines and explores the ethical principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, justice, fairness and truthfulness, in the context of the practitioner's role and the care they will deliver.
