About this Unit

The examination of Indigenous and non-Indigenous health promotion theories, models and strategies forms the bases of understanding the development of best practice in health promotion. Investigations of health education, health and social determinants, learning styles, principles of learning and values, beliefs and attitude identification in an Indigenous context is significant to developing and implementing improved health promotion outcomes and health behaviour.
