About this Unit

This unit introduces students to the process of designing and creating motion graphics animations. A large percentage of information we see in our everyday lives is conveyed through moving graphics, particularly in television commercials, television program title sequences, movie special effects and music video clips. This unit focuses on the design process of creating motion graphics. It aims to provide a solid understanding of design principles including typography, layouts, storyboarding and aesthetics By applying these process to practical projects, students will learn skills in basic motion graphics and digital production techniques.
