About this Unit

This unit introduces students to the process of developing creative outcomes through motion design. A large percentage of information we see in our everyday lives is conveyed through moving graphics, particularly in television commercials, television program title sequences, movie special effects and music video clips. This unit focuses on the design process of creating motion design. It aims to provide a foundational understanding of visual and theoretical principles that impact motion graphics. This includes typography, layouts, storyboarding and aesthetics. In the motion design projects, students will learn skills in basic motion graphics and digital production techniques.
