About this Unit

This unit develops students’ insights into global food systems and the influence of current issues linked to public health on integrated food industries, policy, regulation and global communities. Students explore the production of food commodities from plant and animal sources and their properties and applications in food processing. The unit incorporates current research and industry developments in food science and new technologies in agricultural science, horticulture, animal welfare and traceability.
