About this Unit

An introduction to personal financial management. This unit covers important aspects of personal financial planning including understanding the regulatory environment in Australia, ethics, and basic financial planning skills required by an individual or future planner. This unit also explores direct and indirect investment opportunities offered by contemporary financial markets and their characteristics. In addition, risk management and insurance, superannuation and estate planning are covered to provide broader understanding of constructing a financial plan.
