About this Unit

This unit is one of three units in the Technologies Options group. Completing all three will provide a specialisation in Technologies. This unit provides an overview of the fundamental elements of the Design and Technologies curriculum. By applying knowledge and practical skills and processes when using technologies and other resources to create innovative solutions, independently and collaboratively, students will develop knowledge, understanding and skills to respond creatively to current and future needs. The unit will engage students in critical and creative thinking, including understanding interrelationships in systems when solving complex problems.
