About this Unit

This unit is one of a set of three undergraduate option units to prepare Initial Teacher Educators (ITE) to specialise in teaching literacy and English. This unit emphasises the power of creativity to support adventurous literacies and the ways in which a teacher can use big ideas to inspire and engage children. ITE will explore, reflect critically and develop resources about new directions in literacies and envisage what is possible in today’s classroom and how to inspire and enhance teaching of creative literacies.
