About this Unit

This unit is the third in a sequence of four professional teaching practice focused units. The unit will support your understanding and application of key education theories, concepts, and skills to develop your professional teaching practice. The first module will introduce evidence based learning design for secondary teachers to differentiate their instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. The second module will continue to develop the theory and application of positive classroom management including positive learning environments and teacher-student conflict resolution. The third module will address communication with other teaching professionals, assessment differentiation, and rubric development. This unit is designed to provide a theoretical and practical foundation of essential skills you will need to demonstrate on the third school-based professional experience placement.
