About this Unit

This unit explores the nature of the person of Jesus and his core gospel teachings as understood within the Catholic Church tradition. Participants are to understand Jesus’ mission to proclaim the ‘good news’ of the kingdom of God and how this news is applied through the Perth Archdiocesan Religious Education Units of Work to the life experience of students within Catholic school settings. The course provides opportunities for participants to reflect critically on the personal and professional readiness of staff to be supportive of or teach Jesus’ gospel message in Catholic schools.
