About this Unit

Microcontrollers are ubiquitous devices found in many facets of our daily lives, from simple toys, household appliances, smart cities to sophisticated space exploration projects. This unit provides an introduction to the basics elements of embedded systems, which allows one to harness and exploit their capabilities. Key topics in embedded systems, covering architectural issues, programming fundamentals, scheduling, and the basics of interfacing are presented. Students will be able to gain knowledge to work with a modern day embedded system.
