About this Unit

This unit further develops intercultural communicative competence in the Chinese language through collaborative and self-directed learning activities. Students will acquire linguistic and cultural skills in handling a wide range of topics and social situations. They will be encouraged to express opinions, conduct discussions and present reports in a socially and culturally appropriate manner. Relevant cultural and social issues related to the Chinese speaking communities will be explored and discussed to enable effective communication with Chinese speakers.
