About this Unit

This unit will consider experimental and computational approaches in the study of biomolecular systems. Computational biochemistry will introduce computational approaches to understanding of biomolecular structure and function, whilst bioelectrochemistry will discuss the experimental approaches used to study and harness biological electron transfer reactions for disease management and bio-energy conversion. Finally, biospectroscopy will consider the applications of spectroscopic techniques to determine the biological chemistry of disease, as a route to more effective disease therapies or diagnostic methods
