About this Unit

This unit investigates the impact of the physical, cultural and social context of a regional community on the design of a building and building groups. The design proposition is a medium scale public building in established regional settlements which provides students with an opportunity to understand local regions, their histories and to explore their potential futures. Work integrated learning is incorporated through exploring a range of complex social, regional and environmental factors in the production of architecture.
