About this Unit

We explore the ways social sciences engage in research across a range of methods and sites, providing practical skills to understand society and culture. This unit positions students to develop and apply their knowledge so they can 'do' - rather than just 'read' – social science. Students deploy observation and interviewing methods to examine the cultures of everyday life, while also learning about a range of other social research methods that can be applied in a range of work and community settings.
